What facilities does SP have to prepare me for the future in information technology?

At SoC, you’ll use the Software Development Studio to build and test applications. In the Cybersecurity Lab, you’ll learn to protect systems from threats. The Data Analytics Lab lets you turn raw data into insights. The Immersive Simulation Lab lets you design and work with AR/VR applications. The Network Security Operation Lab teaches you to handle cybersecurity threats. The AI and Machine Learning Lab gives you the chance to work on advanced AI projects.

There are many niche fields within IT. At DIT, you can choose from three specializations:

  • Immersive Simulation Technology: Explore AR and VR, creating interactive digital environments. You'll design simulations that bring concepts to life.

What industry exposure do I get in information technology? 

What can I expect from my information technology internship?

In Year 3, students choose from three pathways: a Year-Long Internship, University, or Industry Project. SP partners with diverse organizations, including startups, SMEs, MNCs, and government agencies, offering internships typically lasting 44 weeks for the Year-Long Internship or 22 weeks for the Industry Project. IT students have interned at GovTech, CSIT, Affyn Pte Ltd, NCS, and Elves Lab Pte Ltd, often securing roles like Full-Stack Web Developer with their outstanding contributions.

What is a good SP internship?

Internships offer networking, insights, and job opportunities, giving you a real feel for your field and guiding career decisions. SP provides coaching to boost your confidence and employability. Multiple internships across industries broaden your perspective, leading to higher starting salaries, business exposure, and valuable professional growth with mentor support.
