From March 19-21, the National Software Competition (NSC) 2025 wrapped up an exciting five-day challenge, bringing together young developers from across Singapore. Organised by School of Computing, the competition challenged students to create innovative applications using Swift, based on the theme SG60, celebrating Singapore’s 60-year journey.
We are proud to congratulate the winning team from the School of Science and Technology (SST)—Chace Tan, Ted Goh, Arth Aggarwal, and Vann Xyn Pok—for securing first place with their project, SG60 Portal. Their app is a one-stop platform featuring a historical timeline, virtual photo booth, event countdowns, cultural highlights, and an AI chatbot powered by OpenAI. Despite having minimal experience with Swift, the team successfully built a fully functional app, demonstrating remarkable adaptability and teamwork.
A huge thank you to our judges, mentors, lecturers, and student helpers for making NSC 2025 a success. This competition was more than just about winning—it was about learning, innovation, and growth.
