Entry Requirements based on qualifications

1	Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘O’ Level Qualification
	For students from the Singapore secondary schools with GCE ‘O’ Level results. Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents who sat as private candidates are also eligible to apply under this exercise.
	For students applying for admission to the Diploma course in Nautical Studies [DAE not applicable to those who have accepted an offer (and have not withdrawn) at the EAE].
	For international students who sat for the GCE ‘O’ Levels as private candidates. International students with previous year’s GCE ‘O’ Level results are to apply under this exercise.
	For former SP and other polytechnic students.
	For students in the secondary schools who will sit for the coming Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘O’ Level examination. Students who possess a strong passion / aptitude in course-related areas are invited to apply.

2.	Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘N’ Level Qualification
	For ‘N’ Level holders looking at entering SP.  Instead of continuing with the 'O' Level examination in Secondary 5, students can join SP as part of this programme to prepare for the pre-selected diploma course.

3.	Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘A’ Level Qualification
	For 'A' Level holders applying for the 2.5-year diploma courses.
	For ‘A’ Level holders applying for the 2 or 3-year diploma courses.

4.	Higher Nitec and Nitec Qualifications
	Higher Nitec students with a minimum GPA of 2.0 are invited to apply for admission. Students (with relevant disciplines) whose GPA is >= 3.5 may apply for direct entry to our diploma courses.  Nitec students must have a minimum GPA of 3.5.
	For ITE students in the final year of their Nitec or Higher Nitec courses and possess a strong passion / aptitude in course-related areas are invited to apply.
	For students applying for admission to the Diploma course in Nautical Studies [DAE not applicable to those who have accepted an offer (and have not withdrawn) at the EAE (I)].
	For former SP and other polytechnic students.

5.	Integrated Programme (IP)
	Students from the Integrated Programme must have completed IP Year 4 (or Sec 4 equivalent).

6.	International Baccalaureate (IB)
	Students with the IB qualification must have a minimum grade 5 (1st Language) for English, Maths, 1 Relevant Subject and 2 other subjects (Standard Level).

7.	International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), Unified Examination Certificate (UEC – Malaysia), Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) and Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM)
	Students with the IGCSE from the following 3 schools are invited to apply: - ACS International - Hwa Chong International - SJI International
	Students with the UEC / SPM or STPM qualification are invited to apply.

8.	International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE), GCE ‘O’ Level (non-Singapore-Cambridge)
	Students with these qualifications are invited to apply.

9.	Other International Qualifications
	Returning Singaporeans with other international qualifications are invited to apply.

10.	Applicants with work experience
	Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents with at least 2 years of relevant work experience are invited to apply.
	Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents with relevant WSQ Diploma (or higher), at least 1 year of relevant work experience and obtained Level 6 for both WSQ Workplace Literacy SOQ and Workplace Numeracy SOA are invited to apply
	Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents with relevant part-time Higher Nitec in Technology / Services, attained final net GPA of 2.0 or better, and with at least 1 year of relevant work experience are invited to apply
	Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents with relevant part-time Nitec in Technology / Services, attained final net GPA of 3.5 or better, and with at least 1 year of relevant work experience are invited to apply
