From March 17-19, over 60 aspiring cybersecurity enthusiasts gathered at the Cyber Wargame Centre for the Youth Cyber Exploration Programme (YCEP) 2025—an immersive bootcamp designed to equip secondary school students with the skills to tackle real-world cyber threats.
Organised by the five local polytechnics and Cyber Youth Singapore, with support from the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA), YCEP has trained over 700 students in two years. Top students with outstanding YCEP scores will have the opportunity to pit their skills against one another in the Central Capture-the-Flag (CTF) Competition.
Tun Aung Kyaw Oo, a Student Mentor, shared, "It was inspiring to see their enthusiasm and teamwork as they tackled cybersecurity challenges in a simulated environment, gaining hands-on experience with a range of cybersecurity tools."
Through workshops and practical challenges, students explored network security, digital forensics, cryptography, and ethical hacking—gaining critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
A huge thank you to our Diploma in Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics lecturers, mentors, organisers, and partners for making YCEP 2025 a success. Together, we are shaping the future of cybersecurity and empowering the youth of Singapore.
