The Ministry of Education (MOE) Tuition Grant (TG) Scheme is available to students enrolled in full-time diploma courses at polytechnics. This scheme helps cover the costs of tertiary education.
The Tuition Grant has a maximum allowance of 10 semesters. Students entering directly into their second year are eligible for a maximum of 8 semesters, while those admitted to a 2.5-year course can receive funding for up to 9 semesters.
Eligibility for the Tuition Grant
- As part of the SkillsFuture^ Level Up Programme announced at Budget 2024, all Singapore Citizens aged 40 and above will be eligible for TG for Full-Time diploma programmes offered at the Polytechnics and ITE regardless of whether they had previously received government subsidies or sponsorship for an equivalent or higher-level qualification. This provision takes effect from AY2025.
Application Process
To apply online for the Tuition Grant, please visit https://tgs.moe.gov.sg. Applications start in early May for the April intake and late October for the October intake. TG briefing slides will be sent to your iChat email during the first week of the course commencement.
Please note that the Tuition Grant does not apply to the Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP).
