CLS students at DiscovHER 2025

"On 12 March, I had the opportunity to attend DiscovHER 2025 at Science Centre Singapore, an inspiring event that commemorates both the UN International Day of Women and Girls in Science and International Women’s Day. This year’s theme, “Passion ⇌ Profession”, beautifully captures the connection between personal interests and career aspirations.

One of the most enriching experiences of the event was the Human Library sessions, where I had the privilege of hearing from STEM professionals across different industries. A particularly insightful sharing came from a conservation scientist at the National Heritage Board, who spoke about the preservation of historic artifacts, a fascinating intersection of science and cultural heritage. It was eye-opening to learn how scientific methods play a crucial role in conserving artifacts and ensuring that history is preserved for future generations.

A huge thank you to SP and to the Science Centre for curating such an impactful event, from science shows to industry booths and networking sessions, all aimed at inspiring the next generation of women in STEM. Let’s continue to support, uplift, and celebrate women and girls in STEM!"
