281 School of Computing students earn AI Ethics and Governance Certification

281 students (99%) from the School of Computing (SoC) at Singapore Polytechnic successfully completed the AI Ethics and Governance (Associate) certification in Academic Year 2425, Semester 2, reflecting their commitment to ethical AI practices.

Developed by the Singapore Computer Society (SCS) with input from over 60 professionals, the certification aligns with the Infocomm Media Development Authority’s (IMDA) Model AI Governance Framework. It covers internal governance, AI decision-making, operations management, and stakeholder communication. Students gain knowledge through recorded lectures, presentations, and assessments.

Many students found the module eye-opening, enhancing their understanding of AI governance in real-world contexts.
