The Singapore-Industry Scholarship (SgIS) is an undergraduate scholarship aimed at grooming and developing young talent for key sectors in Singapore. It provides scholars with financial support for their studies, as well as opportunities for internships, mentorship, and industry exposure.

"I applied for the SgIS scholarship to ease the financial burden on my family. In addition, this scholarship allows me to choose the industry sector and company where I want to gain valuable experience. I chose Micron and the semiconductor industry because I believe this sector will continue to grow, offering numerous opportunities as companies transition towards Industry 4.0 with digitalization and automation. I aim to take up the role of a quality engineer, focusing on driving process and product improvements to ensure that product quality and reliability meet customer requirements. I am grateful for my experience at SP where I met dedicated teachers who were always willing to help whenever I had questions, as well as a group of friends, some of whom are now pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering with me at NUS."
