A night of reunion and reflection: DFST, DNHW & DPCS Alumni Homecoming 2025

On 14 March 2025, the School of Chemical & Life Sciences (CLS) buzzed with nostalgia as alumni from the Diploma in Food Science and Technology (DFST), Diploma in Nutrition, Health and Wellness (DNHW), and Diploma in Perfumery and Cosmetic Science (DPCS) returned for a homecoming. The evening offered a chance to reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate the achievements of graduates who have excelled in various fields.

The event began with updates on each diploma’s latest developments, highlighting how CLS adapts to industry demands. Fun games and activities sparked laughter and camaraderie, reviving old bonds. As evening fell, attendees enjoyed a lively dinner, sharing stories that bridged past and present.

More than a reunion, the homecoming underscored CLS’s enduring impact, fostering skills and connections that last beyond graduation. Through innovation and lifelong learning, CLS continues to shape professionals in food, health, and chemical sciences.

As the night ended, the spirit of learning and camaraderie remained strong. Whether in food science, health, or cosmetics, alumni carry the foundation built at CLS. This homecoming reaffirmed the lasting bond between past and present students, reminding them that SP will always be their home.

“Coming back for homecoming a decade after graduating feels like a heartfelt journey through time. Back then, we played different roles, and some of us were even known by different names. Now, looking back at the past, we can truly see how much we have grown.  More than just a place; the campus is where every face reflects a part of who we are. No matter who we become or where life takes us, we’ll always carry with us the foundation of where it all began, right here, as one DPCS family.”

Jon Chua Weifeng, Lecturer, SP and DPCS alumnus

“At the DFST homecoming event, we hear about alumni contributions, form new networks, bridge new ideas, and transform what is learnt in institution to real life. These testimonies help to shape and influence the future generation. It is a good exposure and a platform for alumni to reconnect and share experiences and contributions, which may eventually lead to more possibilities for the future generation.”
