What is the Common Business Programme about?  

If you're keen on Business but need hands-on experience to choose a specialisation, this programme is ideal. In the first year, you'll follow a common curriculum with all School of Business students. By the end of the first year, you'll make a choice from six specialisations and focus on your chosen field for the next two years.

Seeing the world through business shows you how decisions and transactions shape our daily lives. Without business, trade and finance would be chaotic. Business creates opportunities, drives innovation, and keeps markets running smoothly.

At SP, the Accounting Collaboration Studio helps you practice financial tasks in a realistic setting. The Human Resource Learning Studio offers simulations to improve your HR skills. In the Fin-X Lab, you’ll explore financial scenarios and banking operations.

Internship opportunities are tailored to your chosen specialisation, lasting 17 to 22 weeks. Students intern at diverse organisations, including startups, SMEs, MNCs, and government agencies like OCBC Bank, Lazada, MTI, PwC, and Carousell. Interns often excel beyond their peers and receive job offers, such as Business Development Executive or Account Manager.

What are my options after attaining my business diploma?

After earning your SP diploma, you can further your studies or start your career. 

More than two-thirds of SP graduates earn degrees at local and international universities, with SP diplomas recognised by over 150 universities worldwide. Many receive advanced standing.

Alternatively, you can enter the workforce by working at companies like Mapletree, Watsons Singapore, Keppel Logistics, Singapore River Cruise, and Scanteak Singapore. Both paths offer great opportunities to grow and succeed in business.

Which degrees are most common among business graduates of SP? 

Many students who complete an SP business diploma continue their studies in related fields or areas that complement their knowledge. 

Here are some common degrees pursued by our alumni:
