ITE upgraders who enrol into SP’s engineering courses will undertake a structured Bridging Mathematics programme. The programme is designed to be fully integrated with the core Mathematics modules in the respective diploma courses.
This programme will be offered to ITE upgraders from the following 21 Diploma courses:

Students who have read and passed an elective bridging mathematics module in ITE may be exempted from MS010Q/MS015Q. You are strongly encouraged to take the bridging module instead of applying for exemption as the bridging module will help you in the core Mathematics module that you are taking.
MS010Q Bridging Mathematics
This is a bridging mathematics module for ITE upgraders who are in their first year of studies in SP. It is designed to be fully integrated with the Basic Mathematics module. The focus is to equip students with fundamental mathematical skills. Topics include algebra, functions & their graphs, exponential & logarithmic functions, and trigonometry. It also serves as a foundation for subsequent mathematics modules.
MS011Q Bridging Mathematics 1
This is a bridging mathematics module for ITE upgraders who are in their first year of studies in SP. It is designed to be fully integrated with the Engineering Mathematics I module. The focus is to equip students with fundamental mathematical skills. Topics include determinants, matrices, complex numbers and calculus.
MS015Q Bridging Mathematics
This is a bridging mathematics module for ITE upgraders who are in their first year of studies in SP. It is designed to be fully integrated with the mathematics module for SOC students. The focus is to equip students with fundamental mathematical skills. Topics include matrices, linear transformation, number systems, set theory, logic, Boolean algebra, techniques of counting and probability.
MS022Q Bridging Mathematics 2
This is a bridging mathematics module for second-year direct entry ITE upgraders. It is designed to be fully integrated with the Engineering Mathematics II Module. The focus is to equip students with necessary mathematical knowledge and skills in algebra, trigonometry, calculus, ordinary differential equations and Laplace transforms.
