Your DMAD experience begins with the common programme in the first semester known as the Foundry, where you will build foundational skills across all media, arts and design domains.  You will also take two pre-specialisation modules. With the exposure to different specialisations, you will be better equipped to select the ones that best match your passions.

Year 1 Semester 2

In Year 1 Semester 2, start your journey in with a deep dive into the roles of the media and content creators in society. You'll also learn the fundamentals of journalism,and get an introduction to scriptwriting and video storytelling. This comprehensive base prepares you for advanced learning in the next two years.

Year 2

Year 3

Year 3 is focused on real-world application of everything you have learnt at Story & Content Creation. If you are interested in factual content, you will test your skills in a module that takes you overseas to produce a documentary. If you lean more towards creative storytelling, you will write and produce your own film. 

Your final year in Story & Content Creation also features a 22-week internship and the Final Year Project (FYP), which provide the opportunity to produce polished, high-quality work. This industry-driven experience enables you to apply your knowledge in a professional setting, refining your skills and preparing you for a successful transition into your career.

SP students can intern for 22 weeks at startups, SMEs, MNCs, and government agencies. They have interned at  Mediacorp, Our Grandfather Story, AsiaOne, Marina Bay Sands, SPH Media, Akanga Films Asia and even at the Istana.

Some interns have made significant contributions, sometimes even outperforming university interns. Many started as interns and were later offered roles like Content Creators and Digital Media Specialists.
