Mediacorp

MAD collaborated with Mediacorp to produce quality content for our local audiences. As part of an MOU signed with the Mediacorp, MAD also co-created a Poly-wide elective with Bloomr.SG to groom aspiring YouTube content creators.

NParks

Project: The Art Of Nature, Singapore Botanic Gardens

An Infotainment video on Singapore Botanic Gardens, produced by first year students from MAD's Story & Content Creation (SCC) specialisations, in collaboration with NParks.

This content is part of an online original series, developed and created under the modules, 'Scriptwriting For Television I: Entertainment Programme' and 'Video Production Principles & Practices'.


Singapore General Hospital (SGH)

Project: Spot Stroke

To create an educational video to inform the public about the symptoms of stroke.

Singapore Police Force (SPF)

Project: Safe from Scam

Singapore Police Force collaborated with Media, Arts and Design School to design and develop card game Safe From Scam to educate children and youth about scams to create awareness about common scams like e-commerce, social media impersonation and phishing scams, which have ensnared those aged between 7 and 19 years old. The card game is distributed to schools for educational use.

Project: The Art and Science behind Loh Kean Yew’s Smash

With the aid of motion capture technology, we had the opportunity to work with Strait Times Team to capture Loh’s high speed badminton smash. The precise movement of the 3D data of his smash is then transferred onto a 3D model to be analysed on the screen.

Temasek Foundation

Project: Conversations About Autism

A collaboration between Temasek Foundation and Newsroom, a student-run agency in Singapore Polytechnic’s Media, Arts & Design School. "We also want to be individuals who give back to society and to be able to support ourselves. We are people too." Watch an honest conversation between two strangers on autism, its misconceptions and what we should understand about persons with autism.

People’s Association (Radin Mas CC)

Project: Gems of Radin Mas

The People's Association through Radin Mas CC collaborated with SP MAD on a video content creation project as part of a bigger campaign to showcase the hidden gems in Radin Mas. Radin Mas is home not only to four hawker centres with varying hawker profiles ranging from first-generation hawkers to new-generation hawkers, they also house many talents and stories that are less known to the public which are "Gems" of Radin Mas. Under this collaboration, students will produce a documentary-style video targeted at the general public, as part of their curriculum syllabus. The project is part of PA’s broader youth engagement efforts to reach out to students who have enrolled in our local polytechnics, with the aim to raise awareness of Singapore’s Hawkers Heritage.

In the fast-paced world we live in today, young Singaporean adults may not take the time to fully process what we are going through. Students from specialisation Creative Community Engagement with Psychology worked with Singapore Association for Mental Health (SAMH) to come up with workshops for youths. This series of workshops, “What about you?” help young adults explore their identities through sharing their stories and experiences with each others..
