Your DMAD experience begins with the common programme in the first semester known as the Foundry, where you will build foundational skills across all media, arts and design domains. You will also take two pre-specialisation modules. With the exposure to different specialisations, you will be better equipped to select the ones that best match your passions.
In year 1 Semester 2, Modules like 3D Art Asset Creation, Animation 1, and Drawing introduce you to industry tools and techniques, helping you build a solid foundation in animation, design, and digital art, setting you up for advanced coursework in later years.
Advance your skills with modules like 3D Art Asset Creation 2, Animation 2, and Mobile Game Development. The Sustainable Innovation Project (SIP) offers hands-on experience, applying your skills to real-world challenges. This year is dedicated to preparing you for your upcoming internship and future career in the industry.
Undertake a 22-week internship and a Final Year Project (FYP) to apply your skills in a professional environment, preparing you for the industry. Advanced modules like Animation & Games Studio 2 and Immersive Application Development will deepen your expertise, ensuring you graduate with the skills needed for success.

Up till this day, I am still grateful for the animation education at SP. These have become the stepping stones to a career in animation for games. These skills include listening to and responding to feedback, collaborating on group projects, and learning how to grow as an individual and as a valued team member.
