The Youth Model ASEAN Conference (YMAC), SPOT’s signature event, is SP’s flagship conference for youth leaders from regional Institutes of Higher Learning to engage in meaningful dialogue and expand their knowledge of ASEAN issues. Youth delegates consider different perspectives as they take on the role of one of the 10 ASEAN countries in an ASEAN meeting simulation. YMAC seeks to create strong networks among youth leaders committed to shaping the future of ASEAN. YMAC also serves as a capability development programme empowering the staff and student leaders involved in the organisation of the conference. YMAC 2025 (in Jakarta) is the first overseas YMAC co-organised by staff and student leaders from SP and Universitas Pelita Harapan. Centred around the theme of Environmental Sustainability in ASEAN, YMAC 2025 delegates will delve deeper into issues such as urban waste management, urban health and well-being and urban mobility.
