Inspiring the next generation of healthcare professionals

On 16 November 2024, 24 students from the Diploma in Biomedical Science (DBS) course took an active role in supporting the National Healthcare Group's public exhibition for World Diabetes Day 2024 at Kampung Admiralty Foyer. In line with our nation’s HealthierSG initiative, this event aims to raise public awareness on diabetes control and promoting diabetes prevention among the residents.

The students contributed to the event, lending their support across booths representing various healthcare disciplines, including Podiatry, Social Work & Psychology, Nursing, Pharmacy, the Clinical Research Unit, Active Health, and the SG Digital Office. The highlight of the day was an engaging mass exercise session led by the physiology team, where our students confidently took the stage to guide participants in promoting an active and healthy lifestyle.

This collaboration exemplifies SP’s unwavering commitment to developing students holistically. By participating in interdisciplinary initiatives and engaging with healthcare professionals, our students transcend classroom learning to gain invaluable hands-on experience. These opportunities empower them to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications in the healthcare sector, equipping them to thrive in the dynamic healthcare sector.
