Singapore Polytechnic’s (SP) School of Business (SB) has introduced the Business Essentials Through Action (BETA) Programme. This innovative initiative, starting in AY2025/26, will provide all Year 1 SB students with hands-on experience in venture creation, industry mentorship, and social impact.

Key Highlights of the BETA Programme:

• Experiential Learning: Students will gain practical experience through real-world projects.
• Social Impact: The program emphasizes creating businesses with a positive social impact.
• Industry Mentorship: Students will receive guidance from industry experts.
• Seed Funding: Year 1 students will receive S$1,000 to fund their ventures.

Partnership with NVPC:

SP has partnered with the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) to further enhance the BETA Programme. This collaboration will provide students with:

• Industry exposure through internships and mentorship
• Experiential learning opportunities
• Integration of NVPC's COG principles into the curriculum
• Continuing education programs focused on business sustainability and corporate purpose

Through this partnership, SP and NVPC aim to nurture socially responsible leaders who can drive positive change.
