A one-stop training and solution centre will that trains students and engineers from the energy and chemicals, pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical sectors. Spanning an area of 1,430 square metres, it houses the Interactive Plant Environment (IPE), a Smart Fluid Flow Unit, a Multiple Reactor Tank System. a Virtualisation Room equipped with Virtual Reality (VR) technologies, a suite of chemical engineering laboratories and key unit operations under one roof.

The Food Creation Laboratory has facilities for development, evaluation and application of food ingredients and flavours such as beverages, confectioneries, culinary and dairy products. Equipment include texture analyser, rapid viscosity analyser for starch and dough analysis, water activity meter, colorimeter, viscometer, rheometer, moisture analyser and vapour pressure osmometer.

The Medical Technology Suite comprises purpose-built facilities for practical training and research work in clinical chemistry, haematology, histotechnology, medical microbiology, immunology and molecular diagnostics. Equipment available include tissue processor, microtomes, spectrophotometers, autoanalysers, microplate readers, bright field (single and multiheaded), and fluorescence microscopes, Digital Microscopy System with digital classroom, conventional and real-time thermal cyclers, and DNA sequencing system.

Singapore Polytechnic Optometry Centre serves as the clinical training facility for Optometry students. There are 15 fully-equipped consulting and special examination rooms. The facility has colour vision tests, stereoscopic tests, tonometers, fundus cameras, visual field machines, corneal topographer and optical coherence tomographer. Different types of contact lens trial sets (both hard and soft lens) and solutions are available for student use in clinical work. The Optometry Centre is open to the public for comprehensive eye examinations, contact lens fitting and binocular vision workups.

The Perfumery and Cosmetic Science Centre provides facilities for the development and application of fragrances and personal care products in the chemical, cosmetics and toiletries industries. It is equipped with rheometers, Brookfield viscometers, UV-vis spectrophotometer, skin and sun protection diagnostic meter, supercritical fluid extractor and a multidimensional GC-MS.

The SMARTLab (Scalable, Manageable, Automated, Regulated and Total-Compliant Laboratory), launched by both SP and Shimadzu Corporation, simulates the future digitalised laboratory. It has state-of-the-art laboratory instruments that are managed by IoT (Internet-of-Things) and serves as a learning space for laboratory technicians to learn about laboratory informatics and the use of modern analytical instrumentation.
