On 6 September 2024, the School of Computing (SoC) hosted a memorable Alumni Reunion, bringing together 83 alumni for an evening of nostalgia, learning, and celebration. The event commenced with SoC Rediscovery Walk, allowing the alumni to stroll through the familiar grounds and reminisce about their time at SoC. This walk was not just a trip down memory lane; it sparked conversations and rekindled friendships among former classmates.

Prior to the main event, the alumni engaged in a fun and interactive crossword challenge themed around the rich history of Singapore Polytechnic (SP) and SoC’s contributions over the past 70 years. This pre-event activity set a lively tone for the evening, as the alumni collaborated and shared fond memories.

As the event unfolded, the alumni gathered for an insightful session featuring two distinguished guest speakers. They presented on the topic of "How to Succeed in Your Career," offering practical advice and sharing personal experiences that resonated with many. The speakers emphasised the importance of continuous learning and adapting to industry changes, aligning perfectly with the spirit of lifelong education promoted by SP.

In addition, SoC staff shared upskilling courses available to alumni, encouraging them to explore new opportunities for professional growth and development.

The evening concluded with a sumptuous dinner accompanied by a live band, creating an inviting atmosphere for mingling and reconnecting. The combination of good food, great music, and the joy of reunion made for an unforgettable night.
