Singapore Polytechnic Hosts HR Learning Fest 2024

Singapore Polytechnic (SP) successfully hosted the second HR Learning Fest (HRLF) 2024, focusing on the critical role of HR in driving business success. The event, held in conjunction with SkillsFuture Singapore's SkillsFuture Festival 2024, featured discussions on employee wellness, organizational culture, multi-generational workforces, diversity, equity, inclusion, and flexible work arrangements (FWAs).

Significant Developments:

  • Launch of HR Learning Journey: Building Companies of Good - People (BCOG-People): This initiative, supported by TAFEP and NVPC, empowers HR leaders and First-Line Managers (FLMs) to implement sustainable people strategies.
  • New Workshops: SP introduced new SSG-funded workshops, including "Effective Leadership Skills for First-Line Managers" and a new FWA course certified by IHRP.
  • Industry Partnerships: SP signed MOUs with CGS International Securities, Elitez, Giti-Tire, McDonald's Singapore, IHRP, Ninja Van, and TAFEP to foster HR talent development and business sustainability.

SP Principal and CEO, Soh Wai Wah, emphasized the importance of investing in people's skills and supporting their development to cultivate a resilient and sustainable workforce.
