The Public Service Commission Scholarship ceremony was held on 17th July 2024, and Minister for Education Mr Chan Chun Sing presented the awards.

One of the 54 award recipients this year is SP engineering alumnus Adrian Chan (Zeng Xiangji), who has been passionate about engineering since childhood. He started by dismantling computers and learning to build drones from online tutorials while still in primary school.

In land-scarce Singapore, Adrian believes that shared spaces are crucial for addressing various societal needs. For instance, he cites Marina Barrage, which not only fulfils water supply needs but also serves as a recreational area. He emphasises the importance of shared spaces in creating meaningful memories for everyone.
