Three EEE students were part of a team that clinched the first place at GeekOut 2024. Organised by GovTech, the bootcamp aimed for competitors to solve challenges during a hackathon and provided a platform for them to delve into real-world applications, leverage the technologies at GovTech’s five capability centres and engineer practical solutions for Singaporeans. It comprised students from junior colleges and polytechnics.
The students were among a team that developed CherP, a comprehensive AI-powered platform designed to help teachers track student performance and proactively support at-risk students. By integrating data-driven approaches, CherP enables early identification of potential issues, personalised interventions and efficient resource allocation to customise actionable insights and strategies tailored to each student’s specific needs. This would lead to better academic performance and well-being of the students, thereby enhancing teacher effectiveness as well.
