SP Optometry students explore Mixed Reality devices for vision test

Three SP Diploma in Optometry students went for a learning journey at the ITE campus to explore how mixed reality (MR) devices could be used to test visual acuity or eyesight test, virtually. The joint educational project involved development and exploration of MR devices for eyesight testing. This collaborative effort provided students with a dynamic environment to exchange ideas and insights with their counterparts, fostering a rich learning experience for all involved.

“It is a very cool technology to test eyesight using letters of different sizes! It is an eye-opening experience because the sight test is not just restricted to a physical screen. I was amazed by the background and movement of the visuals.”
