Born from personal passion and empathy for those experiencing pain during mammograms, Luke Goh, our
Diploma in Applied Chemistry (DAPC) alumnus (Class of 2018), is driving change in the medical field.
Clinching the 'National Winner' title at the James Dyson Award 2024, his innovative tool, Mammosense, allows radiographers to perform personalised mammogram breast compressions to reduce discomfort, encouraging more women to undergo breast cancer screenings.
Reflecting on SP journey, Luke credits his experience from the module, Design Thinking, for shaping his problem-solving approach. This also shaped his understanding of how design can be a powerful tool for solving complex challenges, planting the seeds for his future work in industrial design at NUS.
