The American Concrete Institute Singapore Chapter (ACI-SC) plays a key role in promoting concrete technology through education and events. Its annual competition aims to drive progress in the local construction industry by promoting high-performance, sustainable concrete practices, while fostering collaboration among industry professionals, researchers, and students. The competition is open to individuals, tertiary institutions, companies, and organizations. 

This year, the competition focused on the design of a Floating Concrete Platform/Receptacle. Despite tough competition, our student team - comprising Tan Jun Ming, Koh Tian Hoe, Tan Zheng Yuan Jaron and Jenise Lim Wan Ning - won a commendation award for their project. The team applied engineering principles to design and fabricate a lightweight, square floating concrete receptacle, using cement as the binder. Their success is a testament to their dedication, innovative thinking, and teamwork excellence!
